Heart failure.

Earlier today Emily caught a black widow in the living room. Heart failure doesn't even begin to describe what I felt. She had gone down there and was playing in the dishwasher box (we got a new one so she is having a blast with the huge box). I had covered it up with a sheet so she could crawl inside and hide. I was standing in the dining room about to clean up a bit and she said "mommy theres a spider" so I went down there to see, kind of wondering whether she was just playing or not. I was lifting up the sheet and a spider crawled out. I couldn't see what it was and told Emily not to touch it (or something along those lines) and was hunting for shoe to kill it with. I had my eye on her while I was looking for it and I saw her (she was holding a cup that came with a lid) put the cup down in top of it! I still didn't know what kind it was. So I put the lid on it, because what else was I going to do, and we went into the kitchen. That's when I realized it was a black widow. And I almost died. So we have been constantly talking about how spiders are bad, and dangerous and you never, ever, ever touch them or play with them. If that would have bit her she would have died. My heart still hasn't returned to normal.

I ordered a 20 by 30 of my favorite

I wanted to see how big I could safely print so I ordered a really big one to see. It turned out BEAUTIFUL!!!!! It's really breathtaking up close, this picture does it no justice what so ever. Please excuse the bad picture, it's basically just to show how big it is.

Pictures from our walk last night

Last night around sunset we went out for a walk, braving the insane amount of mosquitoes, humidity and heat. The light was beautiful, but the subject was less than cooperative (aka her usual self).

This one cracks me up. She said "Oh, hi cow! Look at my beautiful dress!"

Outtakes from yesterday :)

ok, I'll try to refrain from any posts for the rest of the day! She's such a drama queen with her expressions.. thankfully it doesn't really carry over to life, it just stays on her face haha :)

This is how she does when I tell her to smile pretty... never fails

Outtake 3

Ok, the story behind this one is kind of funny. She was barefooted and I told her to watch where she was going so she wouldn't step on ant piles. Well, that set her on the lookout for anything that possibly resembled an ant. There were some weeds that had some black fuzzy seed things on the ends of them and when she spotted them... well... this was her reaction :)
